Sorry blog...

I have completely neglected my blog and it's been a long while since my last post :(

So.. What's been happening? Well!

I have taken shipment of a load of NOS parts,

Yes, genuine Elephant hides seats and also genuine canvas tilts.
All parts are for sale through eBay:

Various vehicles have come and gone including this fantastic little 1958 Series 2 SWB

In need of restoration but pretty much original apart from an engine change at some point. Definitely a project worth rebuilding!

Another vehicle I was offered but kindly refused on the basis that I really would end up keeping it and it just wouldn't be practical is this Land Rover 2B Forward Control.
It is an Ex-Post Office Telephones 'Broadcasting Unit'

And what it would have looked like:

What a machine!
I am having regrets now though...

Plenty more fish in the sea for me though!

Speak soon, Mike :)

P.S. Best regards to my new and hopefully longtime friend -
Boris Below ;)

Land Rover 101 GS Forward Control

I took arrival today of a real peach.
This is a 1976 Land Rover 101 1-tonne Forward Control.
Obviously ex-military as these were never made for the civilian market. they only became available to the public after they were de-mobbed in the 1980's and 90's.
This has been modified from and now runs solely on LPG. The 3.5 Rover V8 engine runs like a dream and just purrs until the gas is pressed and it unleashes its powerful roaring potential.
AWESOME!
I would love this to be a 'Keeper' but needs must...!

Beautiful 6 Cylinder Series 3 109" Station Wagon

I have sold a real gorgeous Land Rover today, this one is also going to Germany!
It is a fantastic 2.6 6 cylinder Series 3 109" and has only covered 41000 Miles! It's got all the trim and all the seats are in wonderful condition. The engine purrs and it pulls like a train.
If only I could keep every one I get...!

Stunning!

Leaving for Germany.

Today was the day that the Dormobile was being shipped to Germany to start its new life!
The driver 'Gunter' arrived exactly on time 8:15am.
He arrived with a huge truck that can accommodate 2 cars and also a large tri-axle trailer in-tow. He was collecting another Land Rover and a Triumph to take back to his homeland.

A fantastic company to deal with and extremely precise and polite. I wish them all the best!
